Crocs: 11 Reasons why they are useful & worth having
The most comfortable footwear I have ever worn, and that is including sandals, ultra-light shoes, boots, sneakers etc and I generally invest more than most people I know in quality footwear of all kinds.
Crocs are comfy even when wet. Do well in a rather wide range of temperatures, especially if you do not care about wearing socks in them or buy a more closed model. This is one of the (great) reasons why in many professional kitchens and hospitals 50% + of the staff wear them. If you are on your feet 8 to 16 hours a day of every shift,.. you will pick the most comfortable footwear! Crocs all day.Cheap. Real Crocs go for about €25 to €50 and most people will get at very least 1 to 4 years use out of a pair, that beats almost any other footwear. If you go for fake Crocs, which can be (almost) as good as the real deal, I have purchased these a few times for as low as €5. Beware any carcinogens though. It appears that some fake ones use(d) bad chemicals while this is not the case with the real deal. Nope, I am not on the Crocs payroll. At all. I just love having a pair or two.
Some of the very lightest footwear around, extremely, uncannily light. They float. Great for traveling in terms of the weight.
Probably the easiest to recycle of all the footwear that has man-made materials. Crocs have essentially only one material (well, and a tiny bit of hard plastic that comes out extremely easily) and hence can be recycled wholesale very, very easily and the company puts some effort in to recycling efforts. So for environmental reasons they are not a bad choice compared to plenty of other footwear.
100% Vegan. Very few other non-specialist, much less cheap, footwear are ever vegan and not sweaty. Glues, dyes, leather, suede and more mean most footwear is far from vegan.
Extremely slip-resistant. Very grippy in every condition. Beware, once the tread is totally worn out in large enough patch this is no longer true at all! So replace them when there is a smooth, bare patch where there normally would be tread. Or, use shoe goo with some black ink mixed into it to fix the tread. Crocs being so slip-resistant is also another reason why they are used in boating, kitchens and hospitals so much.
Easiest shoes to clean of all time. Hold under tap or shower for 5 seconds. Put them leaning up against the wall, wait half an hour for them to dry. Done. Or use paper towel to dry them in two minutes. Or a hair blower to dry them in one minute.
Crocs do not stink, ever! I have walked in wet Crocs for hours. I have used them for weeks on end, even in tropical countries. Used them with rain-soaked socks... Still, 0 stink. The anti-bacterial and closed cell material means that you never get stinky shoes and your feet stay very dry and healthy. Thanks to the holes, your feet get plenty of ventilation.
The easiest and fastest to put on and take off footwear of all time. Due to the material, design and the heel strap anyone can put on and take off Crocs without bending over or using their hands at all,.. in a single second. Despite this great convenience, due to the strap you still have a very secure fit and I have ran in Crocs quite a bit, not a problem. I do not know any other shoes that boast this or that are soooo fast and easy to remove or put on. If you have back issues, or are no limber, or need to take on and off your shoes a lot, you can't really do better than Crocs. There are even plenty of mad-lads and mad-lasses that have run (ultra) marathons in Crocs. Highly doubt i'd ever do that, but it just goes to show.

Pretty Punk! I can't think of any other footwear that screams "IDGAF about social conventions, being judged over silly things, looks, or what people's sense of aesthetics are, I will wear what I want for my own great reasons." as much as Crocs do?
Contrary to what people believe there are a few really nice looking, graceful, small, non-bulky and "normal footwear" looking Crocs available. Suffice to say I have shown these particular models to quite a few people who had previously told me they hate Crocs and these people had no idea the shoes I showed them were made by Crocs and they all said those shoes looked great! Until I told them what brand they were. Then they were confused. Especially for women there are some very aesthetically pleasing shoes made by Crocs or made from the material Crocs use.
